Why do Americans......?

Use imperial measurements? The international standard is metric, imperial measurements are outdated and ineffective with no standards, just random terms for describing stuff. Metric has clear guidelines and interrelate. Like, what's the deal with how you measure in stones and feet? Isn't that how the cavemen measured? It's been many millennium since people were that stupid and a system has been developed for this stuff, c'mon guys.
