American People! I need some advice regarding Girls?

Alright, i have a friend i know from high school, she now goes to the same uni as me, 1st year and we hung out a few times. Anywayyy, she broke up with ther boyfriend on facebook and she will need some time and a shoulder to cry on yada yada, that shoulder is supposed to be and more. We've been friends for quite a while and i need to slide OUT of this zone, she's a cool girl fun personality, when we met back in the day we found each other attractive briefly..soo... Any advice because there are some heavy on life experience uhmm republican people here?
