Relationship problem help me please...?

im in a relationship for about a year we have ped a lot of problems we r very psychically close to each other we have been living together for a year i did the step so we can live 2gether but now we have to separate for about 4-5 years i don't want to break up this relationship but i feel that i would not be able to go on with my life not being together (for me a relationship is all about being 2gether) i dont know what to do or say...i dont know what will hurt more not being together a tol or just not being together side by side....thank you
