How much would it cost to have someone build the basic structure of a house?

My husband and I are checking out all our options for getting a bigger house. We need 4-5 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The approximate square footage would need to be 2000. We will also need a fairly decent sized kitchen, dining room, living room, and family room. My husband would like to have a 2 car garage and at least a partial basement. We have a lot of friends and family that can do most of the inside work, including wiring and plumbing. We just want to know how much it might cost to have the basic structure of the house built. We would do the insulation and drywall. We live in a small town in Illinois and are not right near a metropolitan area. Low cost lots are also easy to come by. I should also add that we would like this to be a 2 story house and 1 or 2 of the bedrooms could be on the main floor if needed and a full bath would need to be upstairs. The bathroom on the main floor would only need to be a half and I would like a full bath off of the master bedroom on the main floor. I hope this isn't confusing. I am trying to get some info so we can start deciding what we want to do within the next couple years.
