HELP!! this is driving me nuts. I keep notifications of updates. when I go to download them,?

it tells me that it will only cover a certain version of Microsoft VM. "THIS SETUP WILL ONLY UPGRADE OVER AN EXISTING VERSION OF THE MICROSOFT VM." I have gone to http://www.java.com/en/download/index.js... and have the current version of java, but I am still getting the update notice. Do I have to remove the MSVM to fix it? Please help and I appreciate the help.
