Those "witch" healers were the original doctors of Europe, Witch is a modern description. Those "Witch" healers were very well trained in the local botany species of the area and did not "Just wing it" when prescribing or preparing a decoction or remedy. Be ware high bigotry and ist language pretending to be educational information. Believe me for thousands of years if some one in Europe was eating a Fly Algaric Mushroom(Not Pysllisibin) they knew exactly what it does, exactly why they where ingesting it, and it was administered very sparingly and carefully.
